'Guess That Name' Game: Nascar Driver, Country Singer, or Kate Made It Up

Bare with me for a second here:

It's strange times for our nation's military members following the Pentagon's 'stop-movement order' that will affect both troops and DoD civilian workers. The order affects travel for training and deployments in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria which means approximately 90,000 service members scheduled to deploy or redeploy (come home) over the next 60 days will likely also be impacted.

Troops who have been looking forward to returning home to friends & family after many, many months are now on hold for who knows how long, and it sounds like even when they get home they'll be stuck for a bit. Has to be tough going for morale. Chaps, Cons & I are hearing from soldiers & Marines stuck in this limbo and are amazed (but not surprised) at how everyone is keeping their heads up.

So, long story short before I make this any more drawn out - we decided to keep today's ZeroBlog30 extra light & fun. The first round touches on how coronavirus is affecting our troops like the info above, but also all the ridiculous, funny stuff happening in units trying to pass the time....

Ex: One unit is doing 'socially distant sit-ups' where the foot holder person is separated from the face of the sit-upper by a blanket that two other troops are holding.

...But the rest of the show goes other fun directions. To end the episode on a completely mindless & happy note with zero virus talk the final round is a name game: 'Nascar Driver, Country Singer, or Kate Made It Up'. I read off a long list of the craziest names I could find from Nascar & country music & you have to guess what's what, or if it's even a real name. If you want to play along with Chaps & Cons check out the link for today's ZeroBlog30 and head to 1hr25min, or if you just want to get the answers to the list.

Even if you're not in the military and don't have any military connections we make it so anyone can understand & enjoy, and I love the thought of people getting to know their military & what they're going through a little bit. Going off this long blog I'm writing I obviously think that's incredibly important. They're going through a lot right now whether they're mobilizing in your communities with the National Guard to help out, or staying on longer deployments, or docking floating hospitals in your ports to assist your hospitals.

There's also an awesome interview with 4 time Super Bowl champ & Vietnam veteran Rocky Bleier. That interview starts at 36:53 and holy shit, what a journey.
