China is Re-Opening "Wet Markets" and Dr. Fauci is NOT Happy
Dr. Anthony Fauci, who has been a rare uniting figure in a time of great political divide, has been a guiding voice for all of us in this pandemic. Today, sound clips from Dr. Fauci about a federal "stay-at-home" order, and skepticism about the emergency drug being used to treat COVID-19 Hydroxychloroquine are in high circulation, but I'm more shocked by this clip this morning:
What Dr. Fauci is talking about right there are the "wet markets" in China that are still operating, and allegedly being re-opened now that COVID-19 has subsided in China. The wet markets are almost certainly where COVID-19 came from in November, as the first known case was a 55 year-old man who likely got it from a wet market in Wuhan, it's been verified not to be laboratory-made, and it may have even came from a pangolin which is like a Chinese Amarillo... so basically the SARS factory is cranking into high gear again while the USA is still under a national emergency. Not great.
There is some light at the end of the tunnel though, the city of Shenzhen just banned eating cats and dogs for the first time ever, and perhaps the global pressure on China to close the wet markets may have some positive impact on their management going forward… maybe not, we'll see.
In the mean time, just listen to Dr. Fauci, buy some of his bobbleheads to get vital medical masks to hospitals (above), try to follow your local travel restriction orders, wash you hands, cover your mouth and nose in crowded areas, and watch tonight as the Hard Factor and Bussin' With the Boys Podcasts go head-to-head, with special guests Mike Vrabel and Dennis Kelly, Hosted by PFT Commenter, in Barstool Feud at 7:30 PM Eastern.
