And the Pussification of America Continues: CT Man Sues Bar After Getting Injured Riding Mechanical Bull

SOUTHINGTON, CT (AP) – A Wallingford man is suing a Southington restaurant and bar claiming ‘permanent, serious’ injury after being thrown from a mechanical bull. Steven M. Saleski, in a Feb. 6 lawsuit, sued Meadow Muffins LLC, which owns the mechanical bull, and T.C.B. LLC, which owns the restaurant, the Cadillac Ranch Restaurant. The lawsuit, which was filed in Meriden Superior Court, says Saleski was thrown from the mechanical bull in July 2013, causing him to “violently hit his head on the landing pad and suffer painful, permanent, serious injuries.”Saleski says his fall “was caused by the carelessness and negligence” of inadequate padding and placement of the machine near a wall.

Listen the rules are hard and fast when it comes to mechanical bulls. Either you signed the waiver or you didn’t. If you signed the waiver I don’t care whether the bull springs to life and gores you to death. That’s just part of the deal. Once you sign a waiver for anything in life you can’t sue no matter what happens. That’s waiver life. If he didn’t sign the waiver than shame on the bar, but I’ve never seen anybody get on a mechanical bull without signing the waiver so fuck this guy.
