Leonardo DiCaprio Is Offering Fans Who Donate To Coronavirus Relief Fund A Chance To Appear In His Next Film
Leonardo DiCaprio is giving one lucky fan a chance to be in a movie with him, to help raise money for coronavirus relief efforts.
The 45-year-old actor is asking people to donate to the All In Challenge, with one lucky winner able to have a cameo in the new film Killers of the Flower Moon, directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Robert De Niro.
Finally! The moment I've been waiting for all my life, my big break. I just needed this incentive to get up off my feet and donate. Now that I know I have the chance to star in a Scorsese film guess I better break out the ole credit car-

A cameo?!? I have to donate just so I can say one word, max?? Here I was, prepared to whip out the piggy and dump the last $30 left in my bank account into this donation pool. Was it reasonable for me to actually think I could become a movie star based on a small donation I made? I guess that's up for you to decide but crazier things have happened. A lot of it is just being in the right place at the right time, pretty much the story of my life so I'm sure I would've been a star.
In all seriousness, it's a pretty awesome move from Leo, DeNiro, and Scorsese. Sure it's a small role but it's more than enough to get people to donate.
Based on the actual website (www.allinchallenge.com), there are a bunch of similar sweepstakes and/or auctions. Options include Justin Bieber singing 'One Less Lonely Girl' at your house, shop + make tik tok with Charli & Dixie, tickets to the Buccaneers home opener that comes with a Tom Brady game jersey and dinner with Tom himself, and much much more. I'd probably go with the Gary Vee experience just so that in the off chance I actually won, I could just let him chew my ear off about how my life was a sham up until that very moment. It seems like something I need right now.
Giving the people a once in a lifetime opportunity to spend a day on set with those three is pretty cool. Sure, you'll probably just end up sitting there like a nervous wreck stressing out about your delivery on the one line they gave you, but hey, that's what you signed up for bub. I don't exactly know what Killers of the Flower Moon but based on a quick google search tells me it's about the Osage County murders. Admittedly, I don't know much about early 1900s Oklahoma so I guess I'll just have to wait to see the movie because the Wikipedia page is far too long for yours truly to read at this moment in time.
At the end of the day, it's a way to get people to donate. Sure, you'll get to spend the day on the set of what I'm sure will be a tremendous film, hanging around some of the biggest names in Hollywood. But it really just boils down to trying to help those in need at this unprecedented time. Kudos to all that are doing similar things in order to help those in need. The website raised over $13 million in the first 72 hours so it's only up from here.
ps- the first thought that popped into my head was "this seems like it could be an episode of Entourage." Johnny Drama is desperately trying to find work and he sees this. He then begs everyone to chip into his donation amount, saying it's his one chance to be a big-time actor. Drama ends up winning the sweepstakes, but he blows a gasket when he finds out it's only a small role, effectively getting him getting kicked off the lot and demanding a refund, raising questions about his motives behind donating the money.
