Only One UFC Fighter Missed Weight This Morning (Both Title Fights Are Fine)

Weigh-ins for UFC 249 were held earlier this morning, down in Jacksonville, and much to the surprise of many - including myself - only one fighter missed weight! I don't wanna say I expected a shitshow this morning, but truthfully, I didn't know what to expect!

I don't know the first thing about cutting weight when everything's prospering in the world, let alone in the midst of a global pandemic, but that wound up not presenting itself as an issue for 23 of the 24 fighters on tomorrow's card!

Unfortunately for Jeremy Stephens, he's the odd man out.

Oh, sorry. I should have clarified. Jeremy Stephens is a fighter in the UFC. He's the one who missed weight.

Stephens was scheduled to face the New England Cartel's Calvin Kattar in a highly anticipated bout (we spoke about this fight with Kattar in My Mom's Basement recently), and he knew the result would likely have major implications on his career - one more loss here and many believe he's getting cut. I'm not sure if you could cut a guy for missing weight by 5lbs in the middle of a pandemic, but it certainly ain't a great look when everyone else has no issues. Hopefully they figure out a way to save this fight. Definitely one I was looking forward to a ton.

Outside of that, we had some funny socially distant faceoffs...

..."Triple C" getting up to his usual cringeworthy antics...

…AND AN UNBELIEVABLE MAIN EVENT MOTHAFUCKAS!!!
