To No Surprise There Have Been A Swarm Of Earthquakes Near The Yellowstone Supervolcano Recently And People Fear She May Blow

Express

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported the Yellowstone National Park, which is home to one of the most powerful volcanoes on the planet, was hit by 11 earthquakes on Friday. The tremors were relatively small, ranging from 1.6 to 3.1 magnitude on the Richter scale, according to the USGS. The area has been hit by a total of 34 quakes in the past month.

In 2020 we've had coronavirus, mass protests/riots, aliens, murder hornets, zombie fires, mudslides and a potential asteroid coming in close contact with Earth. Definitely missing several things on that list, but you get the point. It's only fitting we now have almost a dozen earthquakes rumbling around Yellowstone National Park giving everyone a scare that the big bad supervolcano is about to erupt.

I don't know about you guys, but Yellowstone is a giant phony to me. Could I wind up on Old Takes Exposed for calling out a volcano? Sure I guess, but if I'm wrong there likely won't be an North American Twitter left to get made fun of on so I'm going for it.

Ever year we hear about this bitch thinking about blowing its top off and covering North America in ash and lava. I honestly blame our science teachers in elementary school for shoving it down our throats so much. You left class the day you learned about Yellowstone fearing for your life. How this baby is the most overdo thing in the world and WHEN it blows, not if, we're all fucked. Yadda yadda yadda. You know what man just fucking do it. We're all ready. You really wouldn't be hurting anyone's feelings at this point. It'd almost be viewed as a favor.

I can't think of a better way to go out than via super volcano. If that's 2020's final act I'm game. The perfect 2020 scenario to me seems like a meteor to hit the volcano and trigger the massive eruption. Just our luck. Nothing we could do. Checkmate, well played.

It does make you think after all these years how we've done nothing to stop a giant volcano like Yellow Stone from happening. We all just sit here every year and read about how overdo the cataclysmic eruption is. Well, one dude from NASA seems to have been on the case and has come up with a solution....pouring cold water onto the really hot thing with lava and cooling it off.

One NASA employee believes he has found a unique way to stop a major eruption – by feeding cold water into Yellowstone’s magma chambers. NASA engineer Brian Wilcox hopes to stave off the threat of a super-eruption is to cool down the magma in the chambers inside the volcano.

Boom. Problem solved. Take that science!

P.S. In regards to the asteroid that's supposed to miss us by a hair this weekend. When the real asteroid does come that's not going to be the one they warn you about. If they announced we're all doomed and there's nothing you can do the world would immediately go into panic and chaos. Just food for thought.
