Man Kills Himself After Getting His Free Buffet For Life Privileges Revoked

ViaThe day before he put a gun to his head and killed himself at an M Resort buffet on Easter Sunday, a Las Vegas man filled a box with his complaints against the resort and its employees and mailed it to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

In his final, angry message to the world, delivered to the newspaper Monday morning, John Noble blamed his suicide on depression that set in after the Henderson resort awarded him free meals at the buffet for life then banned him from the property in 2013 for harassing some of the women working there.

I have to imagine that the moment you get “free ____ for life”, your entire world immediately changes. Everything about it. The way you eat, the way you sleep, the way you think, everything. And if you’re lucky enough that it’s free food for life you’re getting, well then that’s it. You’ve reached the pinnacle of life and can just stop trying. So to take that privilege away from someone, for any reason at all, is beyond me. I mean it’s right there in the title; “free buffet FOR LIFE”. If you take that away from a man, you take away his life. He has nothing else to live for, really. What did Henderson Resort expect him to do? I honestly don’t see any difference between what the resort actually did and a Henderson Resort employee being the one to actually pull the trigger.

So RIP to our fallen comrade. I’m sure the last two years without free buffet were a torturous hell, and here’s to hoping they have all the free food in heaven.
