A Porn Company Is Offering UCLA Athletics A $205 Million Sponsorship Deal After Under Armour Announced It Wants To Terminate Its Contract
In times of darkness a hero emerges. You never know who that hero is going to be. You can't expect to be saved by the person with the lifeline. For UCLA, it's a porn company known as CamSoda. They probably need to adjust that name, it sounds like something Frank the Tank taste tests. In case you missed it, Under Armour is trying to terminate its contract with UCLA (and Cal).
Pretty big news. Under Armour/UCLA had the biggest deal in college sports at the time. They are clearly trying to get out of the deal due to losing money and focus from there. But that's not the point, because either Adidas or Nike (or CamSoda) will come flying in to give UCLA a deal. But this is why they should use CamSoda:
You know how you land recruits with dope gear? Porn. It worked for Louisville and now you get to do it without losing banners! I don't know how well it will prepare them for the next level, but the image of Mick Cronin wearing a CamSoda polo shirt at Peach Jam is worth the price of admission alone. UCLA has to think about this. I don't care about 'image.' I need to see Mark Emmert and the NCAA putting out a statement losing its shit that UCLA is even thinking about it. $205 million ain't nothing to blink at.
