As Halle Berry Turns 54 She is Still Not Playing Fair
There has been of a Renaissance with the Halle Berry posts on Barstool over the last few weeks, such as Kate's earlier in the week. But how can there not be, when Halle continues to plunge her mighty sword into the internet's ground and establish that this is still her kingdom and the rest of us are still her subjects. Even at the ripe old age of 54. At a time when most mortal females are buying pants with elastic waistbands and males of the species are wearing fishin' hats, smoking pipes and calling their wives "Mother," she's continuing to set new standards of what mid-50s should be.
A while ago I explained to Large and Clem on "Podfathers" how, when you get to a certain age, you associate yourself with celebrities that are approximately your age. In my case, I go with Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp. But I'll happily expand the margin of error by a year or two and count Halle Berry as one of my contemporaries. Because nobody continues to rain the lightning down (a veiled reference to her as Storm in the original X-Men movies)
the way she is. Berry has a big lead on the rest of humanity in the 50+ demo, and she's making it abundantly clear she has every intention of running up the score.
Happy birthday, Queen.
