ABC News- Ashton Kutcher decided to do something extra special and meaningful for his mother, Diane. Kutcher, 37, was part of a documentary for an online design site, Houzz, and went back to his childhood home in Homestead, Iowa, to remodel him mom’s place.”I think everybody has a place in their life that they call home that sort of has that feeling of home,” he says in a clip from the documentary. “The renovation we are going to be doing is on a place that I call home.” Kutcher explains that he and his stepfather, Mark Portwood, built the home when he was just 13. His goal is to grow the space, especially the basement, to fit for the next generation of his family. Kutcher is invested in Houzz and he uses the site’s technology to redesign the basement while he’s in California and the home is in Iowa. His stepfather helps in the process. “We are tearing the entire house apart,” he says. “It’s my way of saying ‘thank you’ to my mom. My mom has been the greatest influence in my life.” In the end, Kutcher shows his mother the home and she can’t help but break down in tears. “Mom, we don’t have to cry in every room,” Kutcher jokes. “This is amazing,” she says. “I don’t know how they did it!”

GREAT. That’s just great. Ashton making us all look like shit leading up to Mother’s Day because, not only is he perfect-looking and has tons of money, but turns out he’s also the best son ever too.  What are you getting your Mom for Mother’s Day?  Yep, me too.  A card, some flowers and an extra special long hug from yours truly.  Sure, that’s all nice and good and would’ve been just fine had Ashton not one-upped all of us by completely remodeling his childhood home in Iowa.  Nothing I do is gonna make my Mom break down into tears.  Nothing.  Unless I get arrested for murder or something but those would be a different type of tears.  Oh and what Ashton did will 1000% come up at the Mother’s Day get together on Sunday.  “Did you see what Ashton did for his Mom?  Very nice of him.  He’s such a good son.”  Yeah, well, not all of us have Two And A Half Men money.  Some of us only have whatever’s left over after our boss goes on 6-month vacations.
