Awesome Video Of A 103-Year-Old Dude Setting The Record For Oldest Tandem Skydive Jump

Source - @guinnessworldrecords Oldest tandem parachute jump. 103-year-old Al Blaschke is a death-defying daredevil. Born on January 4, 1917, Al has just recently been confirmed for breaking the Guinness World Records title for the oldest tandem parachute jump (male) at the age of 103 years and 181 days. ⁣

⁣Back in 2017, Al took his first skydive for his 100th birthday and swore that he would do another to celebrate his twin grandsons’ college graduations. ⁣

Three years later, he honored that promise by jumping out of a moving plane at 14,000 feet, as confirmed by Skydive Spaceland manager Thomas Hughes. ⁣

Awesome. Absolutely awesome. Al Blaschke is who and what we should all aspire to be- old. So old, with so little to lose, that we risk it all on a skydiving trip at the ripe old age of 103. The fact that he was able to hold his arms out without them being ripped clean off his body is amazing is incredible...

I tore my shoulder three years ago and I'm pretty sure it would snap the other way if I put it up against that sort of wind resistance. Not only that, he managed to keep his face on…

And even if it fell off who cares? You've got nothing to lose at 103. Congrats to Al on the big jump. Hopefully he's around this time next year to do it again. Given how good of shape he's in, something tells me he will be.
