Daniel Cormier Questions Why Conor McGregor Isn't Fighting Dustin Poirier At UFC 255 If He Actually Wants To Return To The UFC

Listen, everyone here knows I'll have Conor McGregor's back through juuuust about anything, and I don't know what the specifics of these current contract negotiations entail, or what the Irishman may be trying to prove in his latest internet scuffle with Dana White and the UFC, but I gotta say.....I think I kinda just agree with Daniel Cormier here?

If McGregor's biggest issue with Dana White is that he's being kept out of the octagon (with the purpose being to save him for an eventual title shot next year) and the public being told he "doesn't want to fight", and he's throwing these wild charity fight offers out there to Dustin Poirier/Manny Pacquiao to send a message to the UFC that he's willing to fight....now is the time to fight, no?

I mean - Dana White literally told me that they offered him this fight six days ago, and Cody Garbrandt just pulled out of his UFC 255 main event with Deiveson Figueiredo (ANNNND if Conor/Dustin want more time, the UFC 256 main event between Kamaru Usman vs Gilbert Burns is now OFF as well).

Tony Ferguson is caught in limbo right now as well, so why not have him serve as the backup for this fight if he's down? If he's not, see if Michael Chandler will do it….or even, fuck it - you wanna get nuts, let's get nuts - match those fellas up and throw em in the co-main! Who wouldn't be down for that?

If this is REAAALLY not about the money or fans or anything but Conor McGregor wanting to fight again, I think the ball is in his court.
