Steelers' Bud Dupree Says The Steelers Are "The Lakers of Football"

Steelers stud outside linebacker Bud Dupree launched a show for Steelers.com's YouTube channel titled "Bud Brought A Buddy" this week and his first guest was All-Pro safety Minkah Fitzpatrick.

Early on in the show he asks who Minkah wants to win the NBA Finals. They both agree it's gotta be the Lakers because of LeBron, the Kobe connection, and more.

Then Bud mentioned "LeBron's got a created team. They got everybody and their mama on the team. I think we the Lakers of football."

Wow.

Big words if we're just talking this year. Historically, sure. They're two of the top franchises in all of sports. But the Lakers have the best player in the world and have dominated this irregular NBA season from start to finish.

The Steelers, althought TJ Watt is close, don't have the best player in the league on either side of the ball. And unless they get the number 1 seed with homefield advantage and a record of 13-3 or 14-2 then they definitely won't be the Lakers of this season.

I appreciate that kind of belief and confidence though, and hey they're 3-0 for the first time in 10 years so who the hell knows? Maybe the'll end up with that record and this will be a freezing cold take.

But right now even I have to (respectfully) disagree with Big Bud.
