Metro – For three years, 24-year-old Amy Farrow looked for work, applying for up to 40 jobs a week in a number of fields from retail to the restaurant industry.

And after 1,200 applications, Amy has finally landed her first full-time job working at McDonald’s at Hartlepool Marina, and she says it has given her back her self-respect.

“It is miles better now that I am working,” Amy told the Hartlepool Mail.

“I just feel more important. I used to go on all the job sites and walk around every day handing my CV out. It was hard.”

Honestly, great for this chick. Maybe we have “better jobs” than she does but she fucking busted her ass to get one instead of living off the government teet (I assume that’s a thing in the UK too) so good for her, you won’t hear me talk shit. But I guess the question is…it took 1,200 applications and three years to land at McDonald’s of all places? I mean shouldn’t that have been like job number 300 you apply to? I have as much of an inflated sense of self as anyone when it comes to a career (obviously why else would I work anywhere but Barstool, where employees are valued and treated with love) but even I would probably humble myself and apply to some regular low wage gig like McDonald’s after the 500th application went nowhere.

Also did hooker not even enter the convo? Not that she’s like a 10 or anything but I’m sure there’s much worse out there making much much more. Sometimes you’ve got to use what you’ve got, Amy. Those arms seem like they can milk a dick dry, just saying.
