Fyre Fest's Billy McFarland Launches A Podcast From Prison, Immediately Gets Solitary Confinement For Three Months

Remember Billy McFarland? Fyre Fest guy? No not the guy who will suck your cock for water, the other one. The big doofus, currently serving 6 years in a federal prison?

I'm sorry if the answer was no until just now when I brought him back into your life.  That's on me, but stick with me — I think I got somethin to cheer you right back up. What if I told you Billy released a podcast, from jail, in an attempt to stay culturally relevant, only instead of blowing up and catapulting to the top of the iTunes charts...

...he got 90 days in solitary confinement.

Billy McFarland, the disgraced Fyre Fest founder who is currently serving six years in federal prison for fraud, has been placed in solitary confinement. McFarland’s lawyer tells The New York Times that they believe he was put in solitary last week for launching a new podcast called Dumpster Fyre from prison.

Dumpster Fyre, which premiered its first episode on Tuesday, features McFarland talking about his crimes from a prison phone. Since a trailer for the podcast came out last week, featuring photographs of McFarland and other inmates in the prison yard, McFarland has been in 23-hour-a-day solitary confinement and will remain there for 90 days or more pending an investigation by the federal Bureau of Prisons.

And most likely time tacked on to that sentence because he just, whoops, forgot to mention it to anyone at all?  No permission, no heads up, no clearances -- just went ahead and dropped a pod and photos for the Gram.

Would that do the trick?

The guy — who ripped people off so badly he's on the hook for 26 million bucks in repayment — getting shoved in a box for what human rights advocates call cruel and unusual punishment, all (once again) due to his overwhelming stupidity.

I told you I'd cheer you back up.  Bad things happening to bad people is always the best way to close a day out.

But, hey, Billy at least got the pilot episode out -- Live from Federal Correctional Institution, Elkton: Dumpster Fyre.

Wise or not wise, using the name of your podcast you are recording in prison something that mocks the crime that put you in that prison in the first place?

Regardless, nobody can ever take that first episode away from him. His sanity and freedom yes, those can be and will be for a quarter of the year. But he'll always have ep 1 of Dumpster Fyre.

Oh and the also-not-allowed photos snapped in the yard and uploaded to his IG. Almost left that out.

Kid's a grinder. Wouldn't know how to stop chasin clout even if he wanted to.
