Shout Out To Netflix For Casually Scooping Up And Releasing The Entire Chappelle's Show Catalog Over The Weekend

Source - Chappelle's Show was added to Netflix on Sunday, allowing fans to binge-watch one of the most beloved comedy series of all time. Dave Chappelle's sketch comedy series ran from 2003 to 2006 on Comedy Central, and now it is available on three different streaming platforms — Netflix, CBS All Access and HBO Max. This announcement is perfectly timed, being as NBC has slated Chappelle as host Saturday Night Live next weekend.

I think we can all agree that the next couple of days (weeks? months?) are going to be terrible. Stores are boarding up, the country is bracing itself for what's bound to be the most volatile election in recent history, and the news coverage of it is only going to make things worse. Which is why Netflix buying and releasing the entire Chappelle's Show catalog right now so genius. People are going to need a distraction and what better way to distract them than with arguably the greatest sketch comedy show of all time being made available to the masses.

Part of me wants to list out my favorite sketches in this blog, but I won't. Instead I'll just link this one video, timed up to my favorite moment...

What a classic. And yes, I'm aware that almost every episode of Chappelle's Show is on YouTube but that doesn't matter. It's not legit until it's on a streaming service. Also whoever runs this twitter account is doing a good job.

That's it for this one. If you need a distraction from the madness this week, you know where to find it.
