ESPN – Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh has drawn his fair share of criticism for holding 11 satellite camps in seven states — from Pennsylvania to California — but he fired back recently to USA Today Sports. Jim Harbaugh defended his satellite camps, saying it wasn’t about spreading the Michigan “brand” but instead sharing “a love for football”In my America, you’re allowed to cross state borders,” Harbaugh said. “That’s the America I know.” Not every conference would agree. ACC commissioner John Swofford previously told ESPN.com that such camps weren’t a healthy part of the recruiting process, while coaches like Alabama’s Nick Saban have also voiced their opposition. On Tuesday, Mississippi State’s Dan Mullen became the latest satellite camp detractor by labeling Harbaugh’s camps a “recruiting fair.”

Has any coach ever been more in the heads of every single other coach in America more than Jim Harbaugh? Guy hasn’t even coached 1 game yet for Michigan and the rest of the Nation is freaking out. “Oh Jim can’t do this. He shouldn’t do that. Big Bad Michigan is stealing all our players. Everybody wants to play for the Maize and Blue now. Wah, wah, wah.” Hey Harbaugh nailed it. This is America. If he wants to spread his love of football in other states that’s his right. That’s the America he knows. That’s the America I know. Let’s stop worrying about Jim Harbaugh and him spreading his love of football and worry more about Urban Meyer recruiting murderers, rapists and convicts that terrorize every campus he coaches at. That’s the America I care about.
