A 17 Year Old YouTuber Totals Daddy's $3.4 Million Custom Roadster and Says 'Sh*t Happens'

Source - The teenage YouTuber son of a Texas private equity billionaire crashed and totaled his dad's one-of-a-kind $3.4 million Pagani Huayra Roadster before taking to Instagram to say 'sh*t happens'. 

Gage Gillean, 17, crashed the multi-million dollar purple hypercar in Dallas on Tuesday evening. 

His father, Tim Gillean, is the founder of Dallas-based private equity firm Cross Equities and he owns an entire fleet of high-end vehicles.

The teenager, who has 84,000 subscribers on his GG Exotics YouTube page, suffered minor injuries in the crash. 

Gage posted footage on his YouTube channel on Wednesday detailing the crash before subsequently switching it to private.

He later posted a photo of himself on Instagram with his left arm in a sling.

In an Instagram story, Gage wrote: 'S**t happens. Thanking God for a second chance at life. Crash could've left us with worse injuries or even death." ...

It is not yet clear what caused the crash but those who saw the wreckage claim Gage may have lost control of the car and crashed into a tree.

Before we go any further, let's take a dive into the $3.4 million precision engineered land rocket that is currently being swept up into a dustpan on a Texas street like the parts of a Decepticon that lost a battle with an Autobot. This vehicle:

I understand a fraction of what that means. But I can sum it up by saying it's a better driving machine than the 2007 Ford Taurus I spent two grand on to get my son back and forth to high school and his part time job. The one that twice got rear-ended leaving the parking lot by kids texting as soon as they got behind the wheel. Because they were 17 years old. Which is a great reason not to put someone behind the wheel of a wingless jet that can get to 60 mph in less than three seconds when they're not yet old enough to vote or buy a can of dip. 

That said, you've got to just acknowledge that some people's lives are better than yours. Some kids hit life's great PowerBall Jackpot. They crawl out of the wreckage of SpaceX capsule with wheels. And have that rare, once-in-a-billion-lifetimes experience of trashing a car that costs as much as an oceanside mansion on Cape Cod. All for what will probably end up being a $1,000 deductible and a surcharge on his insurance. I'd be lying if I said I don't envy the kid for having a much better existence at the age of 17 than I'll have if I get reincarnated a million times over. 

Not to mention free publicity this will give him. I'll gladly go the rest of my life without visiting his YouTube channel, but you just know this will be subscriber gold for him. It's probably the first real life experience he's ever had and now he's got a tale to tell. So ... congratulations are in order? I guess? Both for making it out of that pile of autoparts but also for becoming Crashed Pagani Huayra Roadster Famous. Not many teenagers get to say that. Enjoy it, kid.
