An Awful Run By Leonard Fournette Led To Trent Richardson To Trend On Twitter

I'm sure some average football fans have wondered to themselves recently, "what the hell has happened to Leonard Fournette?" The former #4 pick has not turned into the type of player we saw in college. The LSU RB looked to be destined for a great career.

I'm sure there are many reasons, one of which being that drafting an RB at #4 is just so, so dumb. The other? His vision, an incredibly part of being an RB, straight up stinks:

I get that the NFL is a fast game and players make mistakes, but Leonard....dawg...come on:

As you can see from how the center and RG blocked their assignments, it was clear that the play design was for Leonard to run through, you know, the HOLE right in front of him. The center would release from the double team to take on 59. Truly a brilliantly blocked play by the Bucs offensive linemen. All Leonard had to do was beat the safety #43. That was his sole job. Instead, he decided to just run into the line:

You got to feel for the Bucs offensive line here. Watching this on ESPN's broadcast angle, it seemed to be their fault, but nope. It's the guy that was drafted #4 and most likely complains that he doesn't get enough touches. 

This decision by Leonard was so bad that Trent Richardson began to trend on Twitter.

This Thanksgiving is a great time to remind your loved ones that running backs truly don't matter. If your favorite franchise pays big money for one or drafts an RB in the top of the 1st round, you should ask for your favorite team to fire everybody in the building.
