James Conner Tests Positive For COVID-19
Things just keep going from bad to worse for this week's Steelers-Ravens matchup that was originally scheduled for Thanksgiving night.
All positive cases are obviously no good, but this one has a little different of a feel to it with James Conner being a cancer survivor putting him in the high-risk category. Luckily reports are saying that he feels fine and doesn't really have symptoms, but still scary nonetheless.
It just really feels like there is no way this game gets played even with it being on Tuesday. Both Baltimore and Pittsburgh keep getting more and more positive tests each day. Who the hell knows what they'll do if that's the case. The league already moved Baltimore and Dallas away from Thursday night. They won't make it a forfeit with both squads having plenty of positives.
Are we looking at a Week 18 situation with these two being the standalone game to get it in? That leaves Steelers fans frustrated again after already being out their regularly scheduled bye week from the Tennessee fiasco earlier in the season. It could possibly mean no bye week for them in the playoffs even if they go chalk the rest of the way and wind up the number 1 seed. A bad, bad situation all around.
Right now though the health of all the players and especially James Conner has to be the primary concern first and foremost. We'll keep an eye on it.
