Wake Up With The Top 10 Moments From Christmas Vacation

We draft Christmas Movies this week on the Snake Draft with Fran and there's a lot of chatter in the early rounds about clear cut first round picks. I don't like to spoil any of the draft but you can bet your ass we talk Christmas Vacation. Where it ends up falling on the spectrum remains to be seen (released today at noon central) but I think for now we can agree it's one of the best Christmas movies of all time.

At a higher level though - what makes a good Christmas movie? Is it the knee slapping laughter from endlessly relatable dialogue? Is it the spirit of love and forgiveness so perfectly captured by Charles Dickens? Or is it the romantic feel-good story that brings the whole family together?

Personally I'm looking for a feeling deep in my plums that makes it okay for me to drink a quart of spiced eggnog without feeling like a huge pussy. I want a little Frank Sinatra Christmas lingering in the kitchen background while the cookies cool on their baking sheet. I want tree lights in my TV peripherals and I would like good hard booze within arms reach. You create that kind of environment in mid-to-late December and I can personally promise that whatever Christmas movie we're watching just went up another 1.68 points on the pizza scale. Christmas Carl is a real person you guys.

Anyways Christmas Vacation is an awesome movie. These are allegedly the 10 best scenes. There's an argument for every single scene in that movie to be on this list but that's life. Sometimes you get left off on a Monday morning. Don't take it personally.
