Here Are The Nominees For Steven Cheah's Block Of The Year (B.O.Y. Award) - Part I

It's that time of year again, time for my 4th annual Block of the Year award. If you're not familiar with the (B.O.Y. Award), I've done it for three straight years and look across the entire NFL for the single best block. Last year's winner was Colts LG Quenton Nelson for this gem:

We even got an acceptance speech (at the end of the video above)! 

Beginning this year, I've expanded the field. There are so many great blocks to choose from, so I've decided to shake things up. The winner is decided via Twitter poll and since the max number of options a poll has is four, I've broken it out into two distinct categories - Run Blocks and Passing Plays. The four blocks with the highest percentage of votes will move on to the final four for a final vote next week. Since establishing the run is so important up front, I've decided to start with the Run Blocks for the first category. 

The rules for The Block of the Year are as follows:

- Must be an NFL Block (no College, High School)

- Block must have occurred during the 2020 NFL Regular Season

- There must not be a penalty called on the player being nominated

This poll will be live for 24 hours. Tomorrow afternoon before The Yak I will release the Blocks from Pass Plays and will aggregate on Thursday and release the final four nominees for a longer poll.
