"Let's Try To Win This Game, Not Lose The Game" - Jack Hughes, Whose Hockey IQ Is Off The Charts

Jack Hughes is still just 19-years-old. From the looks of last night, he still has a rather lengthy career in the NHL ahead of him. But if for any reason that playing career doesn't pan out, he pretty much solidified a head coaching gig in the future with that interview.

"Let's try to win this game--not not not not lose the game, ya know?"

Too many people out there try to complicate this game. They talk about "systems" and bring up stats like "Corsi". But in reality, all hockey really comes down to is winning the game. And what is the #1 key to winning the game? Not losing the game.

Guess what happens if you never lose a game?

That's right.

Almost makes Lindy Ruff's job a little redundant at this point. Jack Hughes. 1st overall pick. 19-year-old player coach. Celly god.

Took a year, but it looks like we might have a breakout season in Newark on deck.
