Wanna Shit Your Pants? Watch This Video First-Person Video Of A Skier Falling Into A Crevasse

Source - Heart-stopping footage shows the moment a skier plummeted into a crevasse, badly injuring his leg. Edouard Bozon's helmet camera recorded his terrifying situation metres underneath a mountain slope in the French Alps after his friend triggered a small avalanche that sent him flying into the ravine.

Footage captures Edouard, from Lyon, screaming for help from his friend and warning him not to step to the close to the edge in case he sends more snow into the crevasse and buries him.  As he yells from the claustrophobic pit, his friend, who is not carrying a climbing rope with him, tries to reach him with his ski poles.

Edouard warns him not to get too close to avoid collapsing the walls of the crevasse, and in horribly claustrophobic conditions, the pair shout instructions to each other to work a way out of the ravine.

The Video:

(1:50 if it doesn't skip)

Dropping at least three metres down, Edouard badly damages his leg and cries out for help. Luckily, because his friend was so close and the hole had not covered itself, the friend quickly found Edouard and eventually pulled him off with the help of some ski poles.

The entire ordeal runs from 1:50-7:30. I highly recommend watching the whole thing if you have the time. Even if you're not a skier, it'll still rattle you to your core. The scariest part is that the guy didn't even see it coming. All he saw was a tiny crack in the snow...

…and next thing you know, he's nine feet below the surface staring into the depths of hell…

He also broke his knee, which I'm sure he didn't even feel considering the amount of adrenaline that must've been running through his veins. Regardless, the fact that this guy was able to get out of there relatively unscathed is incredible. He also got to ride a helicopter which must've been pretty sweet…

Come to think of it, this guy's situation wasn't that bad. Yeah he broke his knee and thought he was going to die, but other than that nothing really happened. All's well that ends well, right? Let this video serve as a warning to all the skiers out there to be careful. Chances are most of you won't run into a "crevasse", but it's super easy to get hurt on the slopes. Safety first, kings.
