There's Nothing Quite Like The Jordan Spieth Experience

That was the main takeaway from this last weekend of jam-packed golf, there's nothing quite like the Jordan Spieth Experience. Yes, Brooks Koepka came outta the clouds and won the WMPO after returning from an injury that left him wondering if he'd ever be the same. Yes, Dustin Johnson continued his run of dominance by winning in Saudi Arabia. Yes, Tony Finau continued his incredible run of finishing second in golf tournaments without a win since 2016. But nothing was bigger than what Jordan Spieth did on Saturday at the WMPO. That seems a little crazy to say but it's true. Jordan Spieth has been so out in the wilderness for the last couple of years that him firing a 61 on a Saturday was front page news and rightfully so. He was trending all over the place because people were just happy to see him back at it.

The question now becomes: how soon does Spieth have to win before we start having questions about him again? That might seem unfair and too soon but it's really not. Don't get me wrong, Saturday was really really really really fun and I like Jordan Spieth a lot. But at some point you gotta win. You only get one Saturday like that where people are like, "Holy he's back! This shit this is AWESOME." At some point you gotta come all the way back and hold up the trophy. I want it to happen BADLY because there are few things in the world of golf that would be better than adding Jordan Spieth back into the mix with all the other young guys. People forget Jordan Spieth is still only 27 years old. He'll be just fine regardless but I want him to win ASAP. Everybody does.

We discuss that and a lot more on this week's episode. We also had Chicago Cubs outfielder Ian Happ on the show. He was great. Packed show.
