Rowdy Fan Gets Kicked Out Of The Australian Open For Flipping Rafael Nadal A Perfectly Executed Middle Finger

The middle finger. It says so much without ever actually saying anything at all. A gesture that plays to some of our most basic instincts as human beings. When it's executed perfectly, it expresses every last drop of emotion that you intend for it. And just look at the form on this lady.

Full extension on the arm. A little looseness on the wrist. You don't want that wrist to be too tight because then it shows a little too much aggression. The loose wrist shows more of a "I could give two shits about you" type of vibe. And then I know there are going to be some folks out there who get furious about the fact that she pulled her mask down, but the facial expression here is just as important as the middle finger. You can't get the same point across when you've got a mask covering up half of your face. I'm surprised she even had one in the first place, but the Bitchface she's serving up here is essentially the adjective to the middle finger's noun.

All in all, flawlessly executed. And Nadal is just totally taken aback by it. Almost as if he's realizing that he has no other choice but to respect the pureness of the vitriol and hate coming from this woman.

He's laughing but it's almost more of a nervous laughter. I mean how can you possibly combat getting flipped off like that? You can't.

Sidenote: Dane Cook has a joke about the middle finger that I think about quite often. You might remember Dane Cook from the blockbuster hit "Employee of the Month" co-starring Jessica Simpson. Honestly an enjoyable movie to watch if you've got nothing better going on during a lazy Sunday morning. But Dane Cook's joke about the first person giving the middle finger pops into my mind every now and then. Because whoever that first person was to be so angry that literally the only thing they could do to express that anger was flip the middle finger? Well that person nailed it. The most perfect gesture they could have went with. A revolutionary gesture that transcends time and will live on for eternity. At some point, somebody had to be the first. That person deserves the credit.
