Chris Hogan Explains The Passion He Has For Playing Both Football and Lacrosse At A Professional Level

It's a twofer Fri-yay episode on Pardon My Take. Earlier today, we heard from Leonard Fournette, aka "Playoff Lenny." Now, we shift our focus to Chris Hogan, who recently made some headlines after announcing he would be entering himself into the PLL Draft coming up. Which of the eight teams will be taking him? Could it be Mr. Cat and Mr. Commenter's Waterdogs? Remember, every game is a revenge game.

We all know that Hogan has played both lacrosse and football in his past, but he gave us some good insight on the passion he has for lax on today's show. Take a look:

Mr. Commenter: First of all, do you really love lacrosse? Because you took a lot of time off.

Chris Hogan: I mean, I chose it over football when I went to go play college.

Mr. Cat: Wait, now did you choose it over football, or did lacrosse choose you? Could you have made the Penn State football team? I don't know. 

Chris Hogan: That's a question someone might ask, but I mean I put all my eggs into lacrosse when I got to college. I loved lacrosse, always have love lacrosse, knew that I was going to make my way back to the sport in some way, shape or form. When I was done playing football, I thought about walking on to the Penn State football team, but I was having too much fun playing lacrosse at Penn State.

Mr. Cat: Wait, are you done playing football, though? 

Chris Hogan: I am not officially retired, so that door is still open. 

Mr. Cat: Interesting. Some may say, though, you're juggling too many things at once and can you, what's the word, can you stick, can you cradle and...

Mr. Commenter: Dangle? How are you dangles?

Mr. Cat: Can you dangle and cradle at the same time?

Chris Hogan: I'm a I'm a multitalented guy. I can do it all.

This little clip gave us a couple of answers. First off, it is good to know that Chris Hogan is not officially retired yet when it comes to football. That leaves the door open to him catching balls from Tom Brady when the GOAT is 50 years old and chasing his 12th Lombardi Trophy. Also, it is cool to hear the passion the former Nittany Lion still has for lacrosse. Will he be a future Waterdog? Time will tell. And whether or not he does rock the purple this summer, Billy and I will still be pursuing the opportunity to call a game. We are ready to go.
