It's The Top Of The 1st Inning On February 28th and Angel Hernandez Is Already Back On His Bullshit

1 out into the top of the 1st inning of the 1st Spring Training game. That's how long it took for Angel Hernandez to start trending on Twitter. And that's not a good thing. We laugh about it right now, but let us remember, this is who Angel Hernandez is. This is who we bitch and yell and punch our couch cushions about every single year, and MLB does nothing about it. So while it's funny the announcers are clowning on him now, just remember, that man will cost your team a game at some point this season. The fact you know Angel Hernandez's name is bad enough. Any time you see an umpire's name and automatically know what you're about to see, that's not a good sign. But MLB does not give a fuck.

If you look at everything in life as a "bit", I sort of like this bit. Take emotions out of it, the fact that Angel Hernandez is allowed to do this year after year is a pretty good bit. Players show up to the ballpark, see Angel is behind the dish that day, and know they are in for a 3 hour improv comedy show where balls are strikes, strikes are balls, and points don't matter. Whose Strike Zone Is It Anyway?

But hey, welcome back baseball! Take the good with the bad, I do suppose.
