Jan Blachowicz Hands Isreal "The Last Stylebender" Adesanya His First Loss In Mixed Martial Arts To Remain Light Heavyweight Champ

Put some respect on Jan Blachowicz's name, ladies and gentlemen! Polish Power!

After Israel "The Last Stylebender" Adesanya started off the main event at UFC 259 looking strong, imposing a kickboxing style on the first couple rounds and picking his shots from the outside, UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jan Blachowicz showed what champions are made of and muddied up Izzy's flow to turn the tide and grind out a decision win....handing Stylebender the first loss of his mixed martial arts career.

Once Blachowicz found the takedown, and was able to use his strength and size advantage as a major tool in this fight, he really made things difficult for Adesanya. Jan pretty much had Izzy on his back helpless for most of the fourth and fifth rounds.

Jon Jones wasn't impressed with Stylebender's first outing at 205lbs, either....

'Champ Champ' dreams will simply have to wait for Adesanya.

In his post-fight with Joe Rogan, he mentioned that he'll be going back down to 185lbs for his next fight, but that Light Heavyweight won't be a one-off endeavor for him....

What a card UFC 259 turned out to be, though, huh?!

Start to finish that was definitely one of the wildest cards I remember watching in a long time….
