It Turns Out Jalen Suggs Was Also an Insane High School Football Player

It seems unfair that someone with the basketball ability to potentially be the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft and who drilled one of the most iconic shots in the history of the NCAA Tournament would have also been a high school Mr. Football with offers from the likes of Ohio State and Georgia. But that's exactly the case with Jalen Suggs.

The 247Sports Composite had Suggs ranked as the No. 15 dual threat quarterback in the country and just outside the top 300 players overall in the 2020 class. He is the only player in Minnesota history to win the state's Mr. Football and Mr. Basketball awards in the same season. And when you watch his tape, it's pretty easy to see why.

The fact that the guy in that video didn't play college football would be insane, were it not for the fact that he was the No. 2 combo guard in the country who is about to make a shitload of money playing professional basketball. The rich get richer, I suppose.

I would kill to be half as good at one thing as Suggs is at playing two different sports at that high of a level. It must be a pretty great feeling to know throughout your entire life that you can just kick anybody's ass at any athletic event they want to try you in.

If the NBA doesn't work out for whatever reason, I'm sure there are some NFL teams out there who would love to give this kid a shot at returning to football. Something tells me that won't be a problem, though.
