Grand Theft Auto 6 Is Never Coming Out

GTA 6 is never coming out. That's at least what it feels like at this point.

It's wild to realize that GTA V came out on September 17th, 2013. To put this into perspective, that was 2 month BEFORE the PlayStation 4 was released. We're approaching 8 years since the latest addition to the infamous Rockstar series and all we have to look forward to is that GTA 6 is "in development" which was reported by IGN in April of 2020. We haven't heard much since then.

However GTA 6 was trending today on Twitter, but only because Rockstar announced new developments coming to GTA V. Ultimately, fans weren't thrilled to see GTA V getting more updates without hearing anything new about the GTA 6 development.

People have been in love with the GTA series since the first release in 1997 and Rockstar knows this. So, I actually give them some credit for waiting to release the best version of GTA 6, instead of a rushed copy. In today's atmosphere, it seems like every developed game is rushed onto the market.

A perfect example of this is the game Cyberpunk. Every gamer seemed to be hyped for the release in September of 2020 and I mean EVERYONE was talking about Cyberpunk. When it released, it had a ton of bugs and errors which made the game seemingly unplayable. The hype died out so incredibly quick, that I haven't seen a game flop that hard since Destiny 2.

So my final stance is this - if we get a well-made GTA 6, everyone will be happy. I speak for all gamers when I say that some further transparency about the game's timeline would go a long way. I'll even take a target date for release.
