How Many Bones Would You Shatter Attempting To Pull Off This Simone Biles Move?

So Simone Biles became the first woman to ever land a Yurchenko double pike vault the other day. Maybe that means something to you, maybe those are a combination of words that you've never even considered hearing before in your life. Either way, I'd imagine there's only a handful of humans on the planet who can do this without shattering 25% of the bones in their body.

Let's just count them up real quick, shall we?

Right off the bat I'm going down with 2 broken wrists right here.

Sometimes after a long day in the blogging factory I feel like my wrists are going to break after just the slightest movement. My hands being stuck in the same position on my keyboard all day has my wrist flexibility at a 0. So to attempt a roundoff at that speed, they're both going down. So now I'm down 2 wrists before the trick really gets going.

Now if some miraculous way I'm able to recover at Wolverine speed from my broken wrists and get myself this high in the air? Well I've got a broken neck to look forward to. That's a guarantee, and honestly from this position I'd say that anything avoiding death would be considered a win.

And if I'm not landing directly on my neck and somehow rotate enough to land on my feet? Well both ankles are gone. My ACLs? Well I already have 2 surgically repaired ACL's and they'd both be gone. Tibia and fibula would be dunzo. Basically anything below my waist would be totaled. So I kind of lost count but between the ligaments, wrists, and the entire lower body I'd say the answer is a lot of bones.
