The Hits Keep On Coming: Noah Syndergaard Will Be Shut Down For Six Weeks Due To Right Elbow Inflamation
Pain. PAIN. PAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN.
I don't know why I thought that the Baseball Gods would leave our guys recovering from injuries alone for a bit as they chose out the next Met they would sentence to the IL, but I actually allowed myself to get excited about Thor and Cookie returning. Then we got news about setbacks for both, were told it wasn't a big deal, then found out their timelines have been bumped back weeks if not months, which means we have officially reached the point where this gif can be used every time the Mets announce that an injury is just a "minor setback".
I don't know if we'll see Noah in August, September, or at all this season at this rate considering he's a free agent this winter. You figure he wants to get out there to show what he has after Tommy John surgery but he's also not going to rush back one millisecond sooner than he should. My message to Noah is best of luck with everything and my message to the Mets medical staff is FIGURE IT THE FUCK OUT.
That being said, LFGM. We gotta believe.
