Jake Paul's Showtime Boxing Debut Will Be Against None Other Than 39-Year-Old Tyron Woodley

Source - According to Mike Coppinger of The Athletic, Paul will fight former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley in a boxing match. The pair will have a faceoff in Miami on Friday to promote the bout after Paul signed a multifight deal with Showtime.

UFC's website lists Woodley as a "former fighter" who sports a 19-7-1 record.

Well well well. We're less one week out from his big brother's fight against Floyd Mayweather and Jake is once again trying to make it all about him. He did the exact same thing at Logan's press conference at the beginning of the month...

...but that's neither here nor there. Jake is fighting Tyron Woodley and even though Tyron is arguably on one of the most rapid declines of any UFC champion ever, I still think he's going to kick the shit out of Paul. Why? Because he's a legitimate striker. He's not an NBA player, he's not Youtuber, he's not an unmotivated morbidly obese doughboy (no offense Ben) - he's a striker. That said, I wouldn't be shocked if Jake gives him a run for his money. He also surrounds himself with smart people so I'm sure choosing Tyron as an opponent was a calculated move. Personally I'd like to Jake win just because he plays such a good villain, but I'm still not sure that will happen. Time will tell. Regardless, no matter what happens this fight is going to be must watch. Now take it away, Tyron!
