Tate Martell — Yes, That Tate Martell — Is Transferring Again and Somehow Still Has Two Years of Eligibility Left

Tathan is at it again, folks.

Tate Martell, formerly of QB1, Ohio State and Miami is transferring again, this time back to his home state of Nevada and UNLV. And in one of the more unbelievable twists I've heard in quite some time, Martell still has two years of eligibility left. It doesn't seem like that should even be possible. If he plays both of his available seasons at UNLV, he'll turn 25 the January after his senior year.

But I guess he has been in school for four years and the Covid year gave everyone who wanted it a sixth year of eligibility. It just seems like so much longer because this guy has been making headlines since 2015. Just take a look at every school Martell has been involved with since high school.

Texas A&M

Ohio State

UNLV

I guess they say you always find your way back home, right? I'd actually love to see Tathan tear it up at UNLV. That feels like where he belonged this whole time. And I'm sure being back in Las Vegas will produce no shortage of content from this guy.

The Rebels have games against Arizona State and Iowa State this September, so we'll likely get to see Tathan back on national TV. Will this be his final stop? Only time will tell.
