LeBron Got Upset On Twitter About People Being Mean And Calling The Lakers Old

The Lakers have certainly had themselves an interesting offseason. With essentially their entire roster to replace outside of 3 or 4 guys, they kicked things off with the shocking trade of Russell Westbrook as a response to Giannis calling LeBron a coward for always needing a super team to win. That really showed him! They then entered free agency and signed by my count a total of 1000000 players, almost all of which are old as hell. In reality, none of that stuff even matters all that much because as we know, the success of the Lakers comes down to the health of LeBron and Anthony Davis. Not fucking Trevor Ariza or Wayne Ellington. All we needed was the LeBron chirp on social media to really complete this offseason, and that's what we got yesterday

A few things about this tweet that I find hilarious. First, he tweeted the same thing twice…and then deleted it twice. Only cowards delete tweets when they initially were trying to talk shit. It's also not a slight to mention that the Lakers signed a bunch of old dudes. That's simply the truth. I mean seriously, it's not like people are saying guys are old and washed up when in reality they are 30 or 31 or something

Comments about the way they play is also valid. The spacing issues that Westbrook brings are real. He can't shoot. It doesn't mean he won't be successful playing next to LeBron, almost everyone is, but again it's simply stating facts that Westbrook cannot shoot. So being mad about things that are at the end of the day facts was pretty funny. Deleting it twice was also good. But the best part?

The Lakers are the current favorites to come out of the West! They have the second best NBA title odds! I could understand if they dropped after their moves this summer, but the exact opposite happened. I get it, the all time greats find way to motivate themselves, even make shit up in their brain as fuel. I just think it's funny to be talking like you're being so disrespected despite being an overwhelming favorite. I'm not sure that's how it works.

The risk here is that this all backfires. Maybe that's why he deleted it. Unfortunately for him, screenshots exist. Now if the Lakers older players struggle or get hurt and the team underachieves again, there's no excuse. He's telling us that age isn't an issue. That style of play isn't an issue. Well, that means he then has to keep that same narrative and energy if things don't work out.

Seriously though, deleting tweets when talking shit is so weak. Giannis would never.
