With One Tweet, Dr Disrespect Set The Gaming World Into An Outrage

BACKSTORY: I understand not everyone reading this blog is a headband wearing, sweat drippin' gamer. So lemme start by giving you some background info - since the dawn of time, there has been gaming debates about which input is superior to the other (input meaning: do you game on controller or mouse and keyboard). Due to Warzone and Fortnite's popularity, we began seeing a gaming landscape where both controllers and mouse and keyboard players were competing against each other.

Previously to this time, it was very infrequent that the two would match up. Mouse and keyboard players get extremely frustrated with controller "aim assist" which helps players aim better on controller. They claim it's an extremely unfair advantage and that controller takes no skill. So there you have it, the beginning the great gaming debate begins and there's no end in sight.

Yesterday's Twitter Action

Like so many things in gaming, it all started with Dr Disrespect:

So you thought this argument would be another standard controller vs mouse and keyboard debate? Half true, this one ended up being more explosive than any other input debate I've seen in a while.

Immediately after this tweet, Myth quote retweeted and set some gasoline to the fire.

Outrageous claim, but Myth made his stance. Nadeshot (owner of 100T) responded with a tweet along the lines that said, "if you've never played professional, you have absolutely zero say in a top 10s list. Period. End of story."

Because it was such a freezing cold take, Nadeshot ended up deleting his tweet and responding with something better.

Karma and Scump - legendary Call of Duty players.

Clayster (another CoD legend) - GOING IN ON MYTH

So as you can see, everyone was outraged and pissed with Myth's take. So much so that he ended up taking it back.

Wild day on gaming Twitter and it all ended with some wise words from Timmy Tenders.

Nothing more needs to be said. If controller was so broken, then everyone would be playing controller. Plain and simple.

You guys know I hold the line with controller, but I actually hold my controller like a freak.

This is known as "claw" style. And yes, I already know about the hand pain I'll be in when I'm older. But as they say, no pain no game.

Watch below for a full gameplay of "claw cam."
