My First Week at Barstool
I'm Jordyn Woodruff (aka Jordyn Wood Know) and welcome to my first week at Barstool!
MY INTRODUCTION: I was born and raised in Minnesota and moved to NYC 3 weeks ago. Working for Barstool and living in NYC have been long time dreams of mine and I was finally able to make both come true by downloading the popular app, TikTok. During quarantine I was bored as hell and ridiculously lonely. Everyone on social media kept talking about TikTok so about 3 weeks in I caved, downloaded the app, became addicted immediately, started posting a ridiculous amount of videos around "TikToker Tea" and my life changed FOREVER...
THE BACK STORY: Since I was a kid I have been so ridiculously obsessed with pop culture/entertainment news and always wanted to explore that as a career. The only issue was, I had no idea how or where to get started. The entertainment world seemed impossible to reach, especially in Minnesota. Then quarantine happened and TikTok started changing everyday peoples lives, including my own.
When I joined TikTok, I noticed that some were using the app to breakdown pop culture stories in 60 seconds…and this piqued my interest. As TikTok started blowing up regular people and making them famous (like Charli/Dixie D'Amelio and Addison Rae) I realized that no one was talking about them, but everyone was obsessed with them. So I decided to post about these famous TikTokers on a regular basis and that soon became my niche - TikToker/Influencer Drama. Now today, I am working my dream job and creating content full time. I am obsessed with all things Pop Culture, TikToker Tea and Entertainment news. You can find me on all social media platforms spilling the tea and keeping everyone updated on their favorite celebrities/Influencers.
WHAT HAPPENED DURING MY FIRST WEEK: The most asked question I got after people found out I got a job at Barstool was, "are you excited to meet YXZ?!" So to make everyone happy, I decided that I was going to meet every Barstool employee my first week.
Day 1: I got introduced to Tom Vapes, Little Yeti, Baby Dog and Taco Bell. Apparently all 4 are pretty big at Barstool but I don't get the hype - 4.3/10.
Day 2: I met Alex freaking Cooper, Brianna Chicken Fry and Rico Bosco. Another well know group of people but once again…they didn't live up to the hype - 6.4/10.
Day 3: Weirdest day yet. I met the Coke and Aces Boys (Nick & Ben) and Brenden Walker. Never heard of these guys and once again…did not live up to the hype - 3.5/10.
Oh yeah, and I met Vinnie Hacker. 10/10 - def got the hype!
And that was my first week in a nutshell. My goal for week 2 is to meet my boss, Bradley Cooper.
