Watch Out ACC - Virginia's Tony Bennett Is Planning On Turning Into Ted Lasso This Season And It's All Thanks To His Shoes And Wife

If there was one guy in college basketball to fully embrace Ted Lasso there's no doubt it's Tony Bennett. He seems like a guy who makes biscuits and shit. He seems like a guy who embraces all the weird stuff. He already won a title at Virginia like Ted did at Wichita State. 

Slightly upset we don't have a video of Tony Bennett dancing by the way. This guy was made to be the college basketball version of Ted Lasso. Shit, he went from Washington State to Virginia. You can't think of two more random power conference schools. He even coached Klay! Shit, now I'm imagining Klay Thompson as Roy Kent and we may need a spinoff. 

I do love that it comes from the shoes though. Ted Lasso sneaky has some fire sneaks. Tony Bennett?

From a basketball standpoint, Bennett has some work to do. They lost to Ohio in a game that everyone saw that upset coming. They lose Trey Murphy to the NBA Draft. They lose Sam Hauser, Jay Huff and Tomas Woldetensae. Now they bring in Armaan Franklin from Indiana and more importantly Jayden Gardner from ECU, who may be one of the more forgotten damn good players in college hoops. They are still going to be slow. They are still going to be boring. But it's going to be interesting to watch Bennett adapt and bring in these new faces. He truly may go full Ted Lasso.
