Demi Lovato Comes Out In Defense Of Extraterrestrials Stating The Term "Alien" Is Offensive To Them

CNN- Demi Lovato is standing up for extraterrestrials.

The singer and actor has a docuseries on Peacock titled "Unidentified with Demi Lovato" in which they explore what life there may be beyond this planet.

In an interview with Pedestrian, Lovato explained that they do not believe that beings from another planet mean to harm humans.

"I really think that if there was anything out there that would want to do that to us, it would have happened by now," they said. "But I think that we have to stop calling them aliens because aliens is a derogatory term for anything. That's why I like to call them E.T.s!"

The word "alien," when used in reference to immigrants or those who come from other countries, has become controversial and considered dehumanizing by immigration advocates.

Lovato told the publication that the purpose of the series is to give "an understanding of how much we need to take care of our planet and how much we need to learn how to expand our consciousness."

"I think that the world is becoming a more open place," the star added. "Slowly, but surely, I think that we're making progress. And we're slowly getting there. But, you know, any progress is progress!"

I fucking love this move by Demi Lovato.

There is NOTHING trendier today than coming out in defense of someone, or some thing, for them. It’s as selfless as selfless gets. Claiming offense on behalf of another people, place, or thing is what 2021 will be remembered for.

Fuck, this past summer when they were ripping down every statue they could in Chicago I tried to join in, proclaiming that I was triggered by the Tin Man statue in Lincoln Park’s “Oz Park”. But failed sadly. That symbol of cowardice still stands.

But that’s why I’m just a know nothing blogger and Demi Lovato is the a-list celebrity.

Coming to the defense of a species of being we are barely even aware of is the trump card of all trump cards.

Not to mention, when they do finally show up to save the rest of the solar system from us, Demi has bought themself a ton of brownie points with this power move.

Remember the looney tunes chick from “Independence Day” that was team aliens?

They’re gonna reward Demi even better than that.

p.s. - do you think aliens get triggered over anything? 

p.p.s. - I sincerely fucking love Demi Lovato. I think they have a great voice and makes great music, and is a babe. I admire anybody that’s overcome addiction and battled demons and still managed to succeed. BUT, that said, they need to pump their fucking brakes. Going from attacking mom and pop ice cream shops like they did this summer for claiming to be triggered by their “Guilt Free Ice Cream” tag lines, 

and now to sticking up for Aliens, excuse me, Extraterrestrials, is a little much. Pick your battles.
