Fire Up Your Jingle Bells Because Mariah Carey Just Declared It Christmas Music Season
You heard the Queen Bee of Christmas! Halloween is all over but the eating, which means that Christmas Music SZN has begun. Don't get me wrong, I still #RE2PECT the bird and all the glory that Thanksgiving offers. But as long as we live in this weird Coronaworld where things aren't quite normal, we are injecting our brains with that top shelf musical dopamine to get us through the trying times.
If/when life goes back to normal after we get that big viral asshole out of our lives, we can go back to Christmas music being played the day after Thanksgiving as Jesus intended when he was born in that manger over 2000 years ago. Until then, we are rocking with Mariah as soon as this tweet scheduled by some intern at Sony publishes at the strike of midnight on All Hallow’s Eve since Mariah is the official authority on this matter as long as Saint Nick remains silent on this extremely important matter in the Great White North
NOW HIT THE MOTHERFUCKING MUSIC!!!
I don't acknowledge to newer, remixed versions.
P.S. No disrespect to Mariah, but "All I Want For Christmas Is You" is the only Christmas song that can and should be played 365 days a year. 366 if it's a leap year. That shit bangs no matter the season and is the one song that is bigger than the holiday. Not only that, but it actually sounds best when paired with the glorious weather and vibes of summer on the other side of the calendar. Give it a whirl in between Memorial Day and Labor Day next year then get back to me. Satisfaction guaranteed.
