James Gunn & Kumail Nanjiani Comment On Our Podcast With Eternals Writers Kaz/Ryan Firpo

(Go to 40:00 to skip right to the interview)

Clem and I sat down with Eternals writers (and cousins) Ryan and Kaz Firpo yesterday to discuss what went into crafting one of Marvel's weirdest/riskiest/most ambitious stories to date, and they honestly couldn't have been cooler guys. They told us all about writing the movie, working with Kevin Feige, breaking through in Hollywood, and more - plus Kaz dropped a scoop on us that Kumail Nanjiani (who plays Kingo in 'Eternals') was originally slated to be in James Gunn's 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3' so they were told they wouldn't be able to get him for this movie.

James Gunn then saw the clip (which makes him a confirmed My Mom's Basement listener, even if just for 30 seconds) and offered up his side of the story, confirming that Kumail was originally written into the next 'Guardians' movie, and Kumail even replied to him afterwards - and that's pretty damn cool to me! We're breakin some nerd news in the Basement!

Check out the full interview/podcast now if you've seen 'Eternals' and wanna hear a couple idiots talk about it, and don't forget to subscribe to the channel because Hawkeye/Book of Boba Fett are almost upon us!

Oh, and please, for the love of Hasbulla, get yourself a sweater….
