I Had No Idea Watching Troopz Play Flip Cup For The First Time Would Make Me This Happy

I meant to post this earlier but my brain was broken from watching Troopz interact with that red solo cup. We spend a lot of time in Barstool Chicago talking about drinking games and things of that nature. But specifically drinking games and even more specifically, flip cup vs. beer pong. Really no reason to throw up a thousand words on that heavyweight match but while we're here I should clarify.

Flip Cup is a better game if you're an outsider at a party, or you're trying to mingle and mix different social groups. When it comes to making friends and building those late night bonds, Flip Cup trumps.

If you're with your regular group of friends or really not paying attention to any of that social bullshit, it's Beer Pong in a fucking route. Not even close.

Situation and circumstance will always dictate the right choice, but I think it's important to draw two notable distinctions while also conceding that there is no right answer. Depends on what it depends on.

Anyways just a wholesome and hilarious visual from Troopz struggling to grasp the basics. He probably plays a lot of "drink straight from the bottle with no regret" which can be a very fun game. But generally speaking I don't think he needs a playful incentive to get after it with the boys. With or without Flip Cup I'm willing to bet that alcohol doesn't stand a chance.

Makes me wonder how many things out there people love and swear by that I have never even heard of much less encountered. I've witnessed bonafide screaming matches about the balance between flip cup and beer pong. I've witnessed almost just as many arguments about what you even call each game. Such a passionate point in a young man's life when these are your paramount distinctions and policy decisions. So many of you reading this are in that moment right now. It's a personally sacred place.

And yet even so there's a guy my age that lives in this world and works for the same company as me that doesn't give one flying fuck about regular flip cup vs. canoe vs. survivor series. To me that's rich and wholesome. To me that's good stuff.

All that said, my non-complete list of underrated/overlooked drinking games:

- Chandelier

- Land Mines

That's it. Two games that nobody ever plays. Land Mines when you have 30 racks. Chandelier when you have a keg. I'll take questions on the particulars but don't you dare talk shit about either of these games. This is the big leagues son.

On a completely unrelated note, the Barstool store is 20% off for another couple hours. That includes everything we move out of Chicago which further includes a lot of high quality shit:
