Wayne Brady Fought Against Saying "Is Wayne Brady Gonna Have to Choke a Bitch?"
If you hang out with someone who doesn't like The Chappelle Show you should pack up and get new friends. That person isn't funny and you need to surround yourself with better people. Say goodbye to them at 9 o'clock, which is probably their bedtime, go to any bar, pick a random person, and ask them to tell you their favorite sketch from The Chappelle Show.
There's probably seven different sketches on that show that could rightfully be argued as the best sketch but for me it will always be the Wayne Brady sketch. At the time that episode dropped, I knew Wayne Brady as the second funniest guy on the improv comedy show Whose Line Is It Anyway (Ryan Stiles deserves more respect).
From seeing him in Whose Line where they push the envelope as far as abc family would let them (aka say one vague sexual innuendo per episode) to this:
Seeing that for the first time was the equivalent seeing a priest approach the altar and rail a line of coke right off the Book of Job. It was biblical. Yet, it almost didn't happen.
Today on KFC Radio, Donnell Rawlings explained how the Wayne Brady sketch was created and how the line "Is Wayne Brady Gonna Have to Choke a Bitch?" was almost changed.
I'm sure ABC Family would've loved "Is Wayne Brady gonna Have to hurt someone?" but that sketch would be nowhere near as memorable if that was the line.
