Chris Olave Just Ran a 4.26 40 Which By All Accounts Is Quite Fast

Look, I've never been an NFL GM. Nary even a scout. But I do know a thing or two. I know the sun rises in the morning and sets in the evening. I know I have a beautiful 1 bedroom NYC apartment with a doorman, elevator, and sprawling views. And I know a 4.26 second 40 yard dash is exceptionally fast. For comparison, Tyreke Hill ran a 4.29.

Does the 40 mean everything? Obviously not. But it can get you drafted high in the first round, a la my man Darius Heyward-Bey who ran a 4.30 and gave Al Davis a big ol' boner, or more recently John Ross and his 4.22 40 which got the Bengals to take him 9th overall. Olave was already going to be a 1st rounder without that blazing 40, and by my reading is already much more polished than the aforementioned DHB and John Ross, but this may have cemented him as a top 10 pick according to Ohio State alum The Double Vodka Don.

Can I run a 4.26? I'll admit it, I can't. I did break 5 at the Barstool Combine though which was cool. Maybe I'm better suited for the offensive line.

PS: This is fast too.
