Marty Mush Was Forced To "Watch" Duke's ACC Tournament Opener Blindfolded
Last week during our pilot episode of Barstool Bracket Buzz, exclusively on Sling, we had a "Mid-Major Mush" contest. The rules were as follows...
Marty, someone who acknowledges that he doesn't watch or care for mid-major basketball, still had a good shot to avoid a punishment here. He got two picks per conference (couldn't take both the 1 and 2 seeds), and needed to go 2-for-3 in order to win the contest.
Murray State was an easy winner, but he failed at picking both the Missouri Valley and Big South winners. And with that… the punishment:
If you scroll back above, you'll notice that Marty did NOT pick the top seed in the Big South, Longwood. Well, the Lancers punched their first ticket to the Big Dance in school history, and sent Marty a blindfold of their own to rub it in a little bit.
Will Marty learn from this mistake? Probably not. He will continue to be ignorant regarding mid-majors and continue to only talk about Duke. But hey, at least he is staying true to himself.
Until tomorrow night, where we will be in Hoboken all day and night. (1) Duke takes on (4) Miami at 7 in the ACC Tournament semi-finals, and Marty won't be watching.
