Conor McGregor Has Finally Responded To Jake Paul After Years Of Ignoring Him

After Conor McGregor shared some footage from his first boxing training sessions since suffering that brutal leg break last July, Jake Paul had some harsh critiques for the UFC fighter's form....

 ....so Conor replied with that video above moving his head around like a boxer and calling Paul a "jackass" in a funny little voice. 

While that video is incredible and will be used as a meme for years to come on MMA Twitter, there's definitely still a part of me that is wondering why THIS of all things got a response from McGregor after years of Jake mocking his defeats, marriage, children, etc. 

There was a real effort to ignore any/all callouts Paul sent his way for years! I even remember being told in Abu Dhabi right before my interview with McGregor not to bring him up at all as Conor "didn't want to give that any attention" and now we've got a very public reply to him. Interesting flip of the switch there. It also kinda feels like any reply is a win for Jake.

Still tho - do I think this fight will ever happen? Nope. Still don't. 

I could be wrong - maybe Dana wants somebody to knock the punk out and lets it happen - and in that case I'll eat my words, but I just can't see it. I'm pretty sure Big Ev DOES think it'll go down eventually, so maybe we can discuss this on the Spinnin Backfist show next week.
