Elon Musk Spent Monday Morning Tweeting At Vladimir Putin Trying To Get Him To Agree To A One-On-One Fight
Source - Tesla’s billionaire CEO, Elon Musk, took to Twitter on Monday morning to challenge Russian President Vladimir Putin to “single combat” over Ukraine, insisting he was “absolutely serious” about the offer, while Russia’s space program director replied with a quote from Pushkin calling Musk a “little devil.”
“I hereby challenge Vladimir Putin to single combat” and the “stakes are Ukraine,” Musk said in a Twitter post Monday morning, using the Russian alphabet to write Putin’s name while writing Ukraine in the country’s own language.
In a follow-up message in Russian, Musk tagged the Kremlin’s official Twitter account and asked, “Do you agree to this fight?”

Dmitry Rogozin, head of the Russian space agency Roscosmos, tweeted in response to Musk, writing: “You, little devil, are still young.” Rogozin added: “Compete with me weakling; it would only be a waste of time. Overtake my brother first.”
I'm not sure what to say about this because I genuinely don't believe that it's true. Like, I know that it is, but at the same time it's not. There is simply no way the world's richest man, a guy who reinvented the audio industry, space travel, and the way people send money to each other (PayPal) challenged Vladimir Putin to a fight. And there's certainly no way he did it while Putin is in the middle of what the entire world considering a wildly uncalled for and unjust invasion of Ukraine. He's too smart for that. He has to be too smart for that. Then again, he's not. Elon Musk is and always has been...kind of an idiot. A goober if you will. Only this time it's not cute and endearing, it's insensitive and bizarre. Irresponsible even. I mean what did he think that tweet was going to accomplish? It went viral, but this is war we're talking about. Lives are being lost. Families ripped apart. Maybe he genuinely doesn't realize what he was doing and just fired it off. That has to be it. Regardless, the fact that Elon Musk sent that tweet in the first place is absurd.
