Movie Based Video Games Are BACK! A New Harry Potter Video Game Is Coming Out Soon And It Looks SICK

This trailer is one of those videos that you watch and it just leaves you speechless. I'm ready to claim that movie based video games are BACK in a big way. First we got Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga dropping April 5th:

And now Harry Potter: Hogwarts Legacy, too!? I'm not complaining one bit and after seeing this trailer, I'm expecting big things. The graphics look INSANE and who doesn't want to explore Hogwarts for themselves with their own created wizard?

It's crazy to think how far we've come since PS2 Hagrid:

Back in the day, the Harry Potter games were some of my favorite video games out there. The Harry Potter games felt WAY ahead of their time. I'm talking about when you were able to play Quidditch in the Sorcerer's Stone:

I'm hoping the Hogwarts legacy delivers on that same magic and atmosphere we felt when we played the older games. I'll be on standby waiting for more gameplay to drop, but just know, I'm amped for this one.

The release date hasn't been scheduled yet - it's expected to drop later this year. In the meantime, I'm about to go rewatch the Harry Potter movies…
