Coach K Feels Bad That His Players 'Had Pressure Put On Them That We're Not Putting On Them' Because He's Retiring ... If Only There Was A Solution

You know, I just can't think of a way this could have been avoided. Who in the right mind would put pressure on players about a retirement but only blame other people? Not one person I can think of, that's for damn sure. I love that this is the way K is spin zoning everything now because it's perfect K. He's an egomaniac and a massive asshole. Sure it's never his fault. But if you can't tell that he's a historically great coach while also being this complete asshat you're lying to yourself. 

It's just never K's fault. It's never Duke's fault. Who the hell else would put this pressure on his players? He has a loaded recruiting class, a bunch of lottery picks and announced in June that he's retiring. OF course they are going to have pressure. You did this. You could have kept the retirement quiet or you could have addressed it differently. Instead you made this farewell tour to the point where there was a legit news story that your assistant coaches were mad that UNC didn't give you a gift. Think about that for a second and try to tell me it's not a farewell tour. 

If only there was a solution or way to avoid it. Simply impossible.
